# Update to CenturyLink ISP name

_December 5, 2024_

On Tuesday, December 10th, 2024, we will be updating a number of networks in the
Eastern United States that were formerly serviced by CenturyLink and are now
serviced by Brightspeed. For these networks, the ISP name will change from
`CenturyLink` to `Brightspeed`. This is an expected change that reflects a
change in internet service provider for these users.

This change will be reflected in the following products and services:

- GeoIP Enterprise database
- GeoIP ISP database
- GeoIP Insights web service
- GeoIP City Plus web service
